Service mapping workshop at Meld Studios

July 27, 2012 from 9am to 4:30pm
Meld Studios is holding a one-day, hands-on workshop this Friday (27 July) around current-state service mapping. Service mapping is a process that captures the service ecosystem of an organisation. This results in a visual artefact that expresses the layers surrounding service delivery. The artefact becomes a tool that allows an organisation to assess the service they deliver today, project the kind of service they want to be delivering in the future, and move forward, creating tangible action…See More

Hello Kimberley, and a very warm welcome to Service Design Sydney – great to see you joining in already.

So this is the thing a few of us (Zafer, Justin, Linda, Fiona, Katya) talked about at UX SD 12 and also at the #NewtownCM – a social site built by the service designers of Sydney for the service designers of Sydney.

Of course there's already a lot going on in Sydney – but we felt an online social context was also possible – and the SD ning site in Melbourne was an inspiration too.

Here you can:

This being a social site the more we all do here the more interesting it becomes for everyone.

While there's no editor deciding what gets published there may be just a bit of post facto moderation to keep it clean and on-topic.

I hope you enjoy your time on the site and find it useful.

Best wishes,
Adrian Wiggins

Hey Kimberley – just picking up on your comment on the Greenfield vid – is there a coffee morning in the city?

Not as yet, but there should be. Um, that probably means I should organise it. Michelle Williams, Jo Jokovich and I had one a little while ago at the Falconer... that's a great spot for it. Comfy booths, lots of room, good coffee, close to the city (and on my route to work!)
